Dr. Gilbert was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida and graduated from the University of Florida with her doctorate of veterinary medicine. Dr. Gilbert moved to Reno in 2018 with her husband, K.C., who is a Reno native.

She has been practicing small animal companion medicine since, with particular interests in dentistry, preventative medicine, geriatric medicine, surgery and ultrasound imaging.

In her free time she loves playing golf, skiing, watching sports, and most importantly, spending time with her daughter Rory.
